"content_html": "\n\n
The team at the Center for High Performance Computing is proactively changing the permissions of home directories in the General Environment. We will automatically update home directories to remove write permissions from groups (
g-w
) and all permissions from other users (
o-rwx
) in mid-August. (This change will not affect the \"public_html\" directory for researchers hosting web content from home directories.) This will improve the security posture of CHPC systems, particularly as automated and sophisticated cyberattacks become increasingly common.
\n\n
This change will not affect group spaces. Healthcare professionals use AI to enable more accurate, faster diagnoses in patients. Retail businesses use it to offer personalized customer shopping experiences. Automakers use it to make personal vehicles, shared mobility, and delivery services safer and more efficient. Deep learning is a powerful AI approach that uses multi-layered artificial neural networks to deliver state-of-the-art accuracy in tasks such as object detection, speech recognition, and language translation. Using deep learning, computers can learn and recognize patterns from data that are considered too complex or subtle for expert-written software.
\n
Registration is required; space is limited. This training is offered exclusively to verifiable academic students, staff, and researchers.
