  The Center for High Performance Computing hosts virtual office hours with its research computing facilitators at 1:00 p.m. MT most Fridays. Please see the events page for details. You are also welcome to reach out to helpdesk@chpc.utah.edu for assistance.

By phone

The CHPC's office phone number is (801) 585-3791. Please note that the preferred method for contacting the CHPC with questions or reports of issues is by email. We monitor email during office hours and will address high-impact issues as soon as possible (consistent with support policies). We are also happy to set up a time for a video call. We do not recommend calling the CHPC for technical support. The office phone is monitored by administrative staff, not technical staff or research computing and data facilitators. In most cases, calling the CHPC for technical support is slower than emailing, as your request needs to be passed from administrative staff to technical staff.

On location

The CHPC is located in Room 405 of the INSCC Building (building number 19). CHPC staff may have hybrid or remote work schedules and may be off-site for system maintenance. Walk-in assistance is generally not available. If you would like to meet with CHPC staff, please contact us at helpdesk@chpc.utah.edu; we would be happy to set up a time to meet with you.
